wtf? This is my blog?

so uh this is my first ever blog entry...this color isn't working....is this better? guess i need to see it on the actual page... anyway, this is my first ever entry. i decided to try this shit out after much nudging, er, shoving, by my friend in the Nati, Y-Eye.... i guess i'm supposed to introduce myself to all you readers who don't know me. all you readers. b/c there will be heaps of you...first of all, i use ellipses all the time, which can probably get annoying after a while. so stop reading if you're not into ellipses. they help me separate my thoughts, which is good b/c they often come in rapid tangential form...

ok, well, i live in the concrete jungle with the sparkly lights and plastic stars. Los Angeles. i'm trying to eek out a living writing for any medium that wants me, but mostly for cable television...stuff like the Travel Channel, HGTV, and DIY...mostly shit i would never watch on my own time...i also write articles for magazines and websites (health, music), and i did some copywriting for a cool company called snikiddy. they manufacture organic snacks for kids, low-fat, low-sugar, but yummy...and they promote a healthy lifestyle. the coolest thing i've done was to produce and co-write - with my husband, Skooch McGhee - a roast of 17 celebrities who participated in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. we worked our asses off, creating and writing sketches, buying props, stage directing...and boatloads of other stuff. the most creative input i've had...ever. we got George Lucas and Aisha Tyler to laugh, and i am damn proud of it. yes, i just name dropped. i didn't say we were friends, i just said they laughed at shit we wrote for/about them....freelance writing is a pain in the ass for the most part, mainly b/c it's so fucking hard to get a job. ...oh yeah, that's something else about me - i love love love to curse...and although i am a grammar/spelling/punctuation um...can i say "nazi"?...fiend, i still use no caps in my blog. my blog, my rules...so, yeah, i fancy myself a writer, but i haven't had a paying production gig in, well, longer than i care to admit....anyone hiring? i promise i'll use caps when necessary!

lessee, i'm married (3 yrs in september) and my husband is the coolest, hottest, greatest person on the planet. gushgushgush.... i do luuuuuv him (ewww, i just spelled it with multiple u's, as in "yews")... we met here in the jungle mainly b/c we dig the same music - jammy stuff, jazz and blues, and such, bands like the Grateful Dead, the Phish, the Disco Biscuits, the Black Crowes, the Verve, yes I know the Phish isn't really "the" phish...Galactic, U2, and a bunch of classic rock too. Just no Steely Dan, Journey, or Lynyrd Skynrd or however the fuck you spell that name...he's in the entertainment biz too, works with celebs for special events and such...

went to New Zealand for 3 weeks for our honeymoon... there's a reason that place is referred to as the God Zone (aka God's Own)....holy shit that whole country is spectacular. a whole 'nother entry... love to travel; i'm a lifelong victim of wanderlust. wish we had a heap of cash so we could just travel... turned Skooch into a travel fiend as well- went to Kauai last year and we're heading to Alaska this September. hoping to see the aurora...and a wolf... wolves are my favorite animals, but i am crazy about the big predators - you know, lions and tigers and bears, fuck yes!... big time green freak as well. i hate *hate* when people are too fucking lazy to recycle or too lame to care about nature or the copious amounts of waste we produce. ugh.... and yes, i have to sit in traffic for hours in this city, wasting gas and oil, and i feel horrible about it...getting a hybrid...another entry...

grew up in the Nati (cincinnati) with three brothers, one of whom lives here, one is finishing school at OSU, and the other is in law school in Cleveland. Go Buckeyes...well, go Ducks really, as that is where I went to school (University of Oregon in gorgeous Eugene)...football!!! i'm a Green Bay Packers cheesetard. love that damn team...love that damn Favre...also a Ravens fan. Skooch got me rooting for them. RayRay is one of my favorite players....apparently i do use caps on occasion...i also follow Terrapins men's basketball, hate Dook and the Tar Heels, and heartily root against the NFL's Lions, Bears, Vikes, 49ers, and Broncos. yes, i have reasons for each team hatred, but i'm not going into that now...

my post name- lost sailor is one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs, and sweet justice is a phrase i came up with to use when excited! as in, hey, i just started blogging! sweet justice!

one last thing.... in case you haven't figured it out, i'm usually dripping (heh) with sarcasm...at least it sounds sarcastic in my head...

cheers!

So - what kind of panties do you wear?!
Haha - obviously I am kidding. Except, once, there was some talk of what the favorite panties were... anyway, I don't really need to know that. Or maybe I do, for some sort of present....hmmm...
Anyway, YAY! And welcome. And I am going to be sending lots of bloggers over here to read you. Well, a few. Okay? Good.
Do you still have Y-eye? I am not sure if I do - I am going to go check!

hello. Sent here by Syb.
sarcasm is a plus. Welcome to the blogsphere. My condolences on living in the concrete jungle of the republic of California. I live in all the foothills where the inbred freaks are.
I shall return, frequently, to see what your adventures are amounting to!
